Roman is een voorman in de bouw die te maken krijgt met een vreselijke tragedie. Zijn vrouw en dochter komen om tijdens een botsing van twee vliegtuigen als gevolg van een fout van een luchtverkeersleider. Zijn wanhoop wordt nog verergerd door een stel lichtzinnige advocaten die op zoek zijn naar compensatie in ruil voor verantwoordelijkheid. Roman besluit zelf wraak te nemen. Het enige probleem is dat zijn doel zo vergruisd is door het publiek dat hij in preventieve hechtenis zit.
