Massamoordenaar Jason Voorhees wordt in een val gelokt door de FBI en aan stukken geblazen. De lijkschouwer, die de stukken van Jason's lichaam onderzoekt, eet plotseling het hart van de moordenaar op. Op deze manier komt Jason opnieuw tot leven en begint snel weer met moorden. Ondertussen lijkt de mysterieuze Creighton Duke de enige te zijn die weet hoe Jason Voorhees voor eens en voor altijd te stoppen is.
